Students enrolling in this course will learn content to prepare them to begin a career in the healthcare field. By attending this course, you will learn the skills needed to work closely with your patients and residents by providing them with the care they need and deserve. Some of these skills include:

- Feeding the patient
- Recording input and output (I&O)
- Height and weight
- Charting in an electronic health record (EHR)
- Working in multidisciplinary teams
- Side effects of common medications
- Foley care
- Bathing
- Range of motion (ROM)
- Skin care
- Therapeutic techniques
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- and many more
This is a live course held in the classroom. The course is completed over a total of 20 days. There are 15 classroom/lab days and 5 clinical days. All items needed to complete the course are included in the tuition. Classroom sizes are small so that we can provide you with the attention needed to help build your confidence before your certification.
This course is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing and the Department of Education: Commission for Independent Education. Upon successful completion of this course, students are eligible to take the state certification exam.
* You must have a level 2 background check before attending clinical (completed through Aceso)
*A 10-panel drug test is required before attending clinical
*Titers are required before attending clinical (a list is provided in the student handbook)
