Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Courses

When preparing for a career in the healthcare field as a CNA, there’s a lot of information to digest - and that can get overwhelming. Aceso’s CIE approved nursing assistant courses - education created for nurses, by nurses - provide all the knowledge that you need to feel ready for the certification exam in an accessible and easily digestible manner.

Upon successful completion of this course, students are eligible to take the state certification exam, as this course is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing and the Department of Education: Commission for Independent Education.

Our NA course is engaging and thorough, meeting all state and federal regulations. The course is designed as a mix of theory and skills practice, making sure that nursing assistants get a good grasp on what it’s like to work hands-on with patients while also understanding terminology and procedures. Curriculum also focuses on critical thinking, quick decision making, and teamwork - placing heavy emphasis on interpersonal and communication skills, because of how essential they are to becoming a successful CNA that your patients feel safe and comfortable with.

A CNA’s top priority is providing quality care for their patients, and Aceso provides the top education when it comes to making sure that patients are given the attention they need. While studying to become a nursing assistant, you will need to learn the skills required to work closely with both patients and residents in order to provide them the care they deserve. These skills include:

  • Taking/monitoring vital signs
  • Feeding the patient
  • Recording input and output (I&O)
  • Height and weight
  • Charting in an electronic health record (EHR)
  • Working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Side effects of common medications
  • Foley care
  • Bathing
  • Range of motion (ROM)
  • Skin care
  • Therapeutic techniques
  • Basic life support
  • And more

Aceso’s NA courses are held live in the classroom and completed over the course of 20 days, with 15 classroom/lab days and 5 clinical days. (Before attending clinical, there are requirements needed in order to gain entrance into the facility. A list will be provided to you).

We keep class sizes small in order to give each student adequate time and attention, so that by the end of the course, you can feel confident enough to take the certification exam.

In order to become a CNA, you have to be dedicated, caring, and outstanding at what you do best - caring for people. Aceso is determined to craft exemplary nursing assistants in the state of Florida who begin their journey at our institution.
